Who says we need Gravity?

Thats right, this remote control car can actually defy Gravity (well at least until the batteries run out), due to an internal vacuum type affect this little remote control car can actually drive up walls and across the ceiling, the Air Hogs Zero Gravity Car is sure to be a massive hit this christmas.

Top mobile phones this christmas

In the last 10 years we have seen a massive boom in the amount of mobile phone users across the world, this is because the technology has gotten cheaper and they deliver ways to communicate like no previous generation has ever seen. Every Christmas millions of mobile phones are sold around the UK, mostly prepay phones, so this years to phones will be best found on eBay.co.uk or Play.com, both of these sites offer unlocked mobile phones, otherwise you will be getting a contract phone, which is not always a bad thing because usually the handset is free and you get included minutes and texts. This years top phones are likely to be.

Checking the price

In our previous post we told you to make a list of all the people you have to buy gifts for then to write next to their names the gifts you were going to buy them, simple huh! Now the time consuming bit is finding out where to buy these items from and the cheapest place to get them. If you were doing this on the highstreet you would have to visit all the stores check prices then go back to the one with the cheapest price, but the beauty of the web is you can search dozens of stores with a few keystrokes. So first we need to find who is selling the items:

  • Open up a price comparison site (we reccomend price runner & this one) and search for the item you wish to buy, so lets use pricegrabber.co.uk and search for a “elmo live“, this spits back a fair few results but you can clearly see the prices, simply choose the cheapest one, in this case it’s amazon.co.uk and we are saving £5…. not bad for 1 gift.
  • Now you have the cheapest price and your about to buy but you see in the checkout page something asking for a promo code, voucher code or some sort of money off code, well here is another oppurtunity to save money. Simply visit your favourite discount code site (here & here), and type in the name of the retailer in this case it will be amazon, locate the discount code and put it into the area in the checkout. Even more money saved
  • Now you have ordered this gift you can move onto the next one in your list. Next is wrapping those presents!

Making a list and checking it twice

The first thing you should do when doing your Christmas shopping is make a list, now this can be difficult depending on how large your family is, me I have an extended faily of over 40 people to get gifts for so planning is the only way i can get through this season without forgetting anyone. So to start this list write everyones name down that you will be giving a gift, then if you can try to find out what these people want, the easiest way to do this is to ask them or someone close to them… However if you wish to keep it hush hush then you could always try to match a gift according to the persons likes & dislikes… Once you have your list you can start searching for gifts & toys.

  • Mum – Perfume
  • Dad – Football Shirt
  • Brother – Beer
  • Sister – Gift Vouchers
  • Cousin Jane – Chocolates
  • Uncle John – Fart alarm
  • Auntie Myra – Vodka (yes she loves the stuff)

The lists at xmaselves.co.uk are great, they list the most popular gift ideas, but always remember when shopping to use myvouchercodes.co.uk to find discounts for your items
